It was obscured because a few lines of output generated by src/test/librbd/test_notify.py apparently get buffered by the stream inside of libc and don't make it into teuthology.log at all after the script gets killed.
Zack, is there some option that could be set on the machinery that makes output forwarding to teuthology.log happen to force line buffering so that it behaves as if outputting to a terminal?
