I think we have a fix to the Java issue.
It looks like our current failures are due to changes in branch names for the keystone repository. Casey fixed it and has a squid backport PR: https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/61023 squid: qa/rgw: bump keystone/barbican from 2023.1 to 2024.1 by cbodley · Pull Request #61023 · ceph/ceph github.com So I think rgw needs this PR added to the release and a re-run. I confirmed that the Rook CI is now passing with the latest squid devel image that was pushed a couple hours ago, including this fix. It is a blocker for properly starting OSDs, at least for Rook. Guillaume was also able to repro the related issue outside Rook. So yes, please it needs to be included in 19.2.1. This ceph-volume PR https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/60487 that merged last week had a dependency on this BlueStore PR https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/60543 (particularly https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/60487/files#diff-29697ff230f01df036802c8b2...). Merging the ceph-volume PR into squid without the BlueStore change broke the Rook CI for squid. 19.2.1 (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commits/squid-release/) does not include PR#60487, therefore, 19.2.1 remains unaffected. 19.2.2 will include both the PRs. @Yuri Weinstein 19.2.1 is unblocked! This ceph-volume PR https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/60487 that merged last week had a dependency on this BlueStore PR https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/60543 (particularly https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/60487/files#diff-29697ff230f01df036802c8b2...). Merging the ceph-volume PR into squid without the BlueStore change broke the Rook CI for squid. 19.2.1 (https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commits/squid-release/) does not include PR#60487, therefore, 19.2.1 remains unaffected. 19.2.2 will include both the PRs.
@Yuri Weinstein 19.2.1 is unblocked!

I confirmed that the Rook CI is now passing with the latest squid devel image that was pushed a couple hours ago, including this fix. It is a blocker for properly starting OSDs, at least for Rook. Guillaume was also able to repro the related issue outside Rook. So yes, please it needs to be included in 19.2.1.

Also there are some desperate comments about this breaking / hindering multi-site sync (https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/69183#note-4) which I totally agree with.
I apologize, but at this point, after talking to the team, blocking the release would derail enough things for enough people I can't really justify it. I've added the fix to v18.2.5, the upcoming Reef, and 19.2.2, the next squid, so it should be included in those.
