Issues seen with stretching cluster over WAN

Hi All, I'm interested in applying recent research on WAN Paxos to Ceph. After going through the documentation I've understood that currently Ceph handles all WAN links using Multi-site. I was wondering if anyone could point me towards other issues seen in Ceph when trying to stretch a cluster over WAN? Thanks, Matte
