I’d like to make you all aware of a few upcoming maintenance windows we have planned.
*6/23 Israel Morning – Jenkins and Jenkins builder updates*
The Jenkins controller host (Jenkins.ceph.com) and, hopefully, all of the builders (e.g., braggi, etc.) will be upgraded during Israel daytime hours. Jenkins upgrades include:
- Jenkins code itself - Jenkins plugins - Jenkins host packages
Time permitting, the builders themselves will also be upgraded and possibly reimaged. This will ensure all builders are in an identical “golden” state and their disks are cleaned up.
*6/23 11AM Pacific US – ceph-ci.git build trigger and build pipeline cutover*
There is no disruption expected for this maintenance but wanted to make you all aware just in case. Zack has put a ton of work into creating a proper Jenkins pipeline for Ceph builds. Additionally, he has created a replacement Jenkins job to trigger builds of branches pushed to ceph-ci.git.
From a development perspective, we do not anticipate any disruption or changes to your workflows. An exciting improvement will be announced once we’ve got the new infrastructure code in place and stable.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
