Woah, that's a lot of content. I only now returned from vacation and a
severe cold to a state of being able to review, and have started
reading. It's a lot to digest.
(I've created a dup of the sheet so I can filter/hide columns without
messing it up for anyone else - alas, G Sheets can't do that on a
per-viewer basis otherwise.)
Plenty of great content there!
The challenges is the holidays. I'm going to be
out Dec 26 - Jan 10, but
I am going to try to do my reviews before that, and I can make time for a
planning call or two the first week of Jan... or we can try to start the
discussion over email. If nothing else we can probably get the schedule
up by the 15th (W) instead of 17th (Fri) maybe?
This seems feasible. It's a lot to take in so I won't be done today, but
surely early next week in time for the call.
The other thing we need to start thinking about is
keynotes. We should be
on the looking for talk proposals that we can simply elevate to a keynote,
or think about speakers that we could invite.
Good idea, I'll look for those talks.
Currently, the PC is
- Dan (CERN)
- Josh (RH)
- Lars (SUSE)
- Matias (WD)
- Neha (RH)
- Patrick (RH)
- Sage (RH)
Very very red :-)
Should we ask Lenz as the CLT guy on the board?
(I know he's also SUSE, which is a bit unfortunate diversity-wise.)
Who represents the General Members?
Perhaps China Mobile, ZTE? This committee has nobody from our target
region ... Not sure who to recommend there, but it'd be quite worthwhile
to have that viewpoint included.
Regards,
Lars
