Are osd-secondary and osd-tertiary copys parallel writes?

Yes, they get sent from the primary to all recipients as fast as possible, so with fast network you would not notice a huge spike in latencies going from 3 to 4 (or more) replicas for instance. It will not be linear. Not 100% perfectly parallel either, but close. -- May the most significant bit of your life be positive.
Please let me know now if you find current references to tertiary OSDs in the docs. A while back I sent through and changed multiple references to "secondary", as "tertiary" sorta connotes chaining, but in practice all non-lead OSDs in a PG are siblings.
