Other clients with older kernels (e.g. 4.15.0-47-generic) work without interruption on the same CephFS.
Sounds like another issue reported on ceph-users: "[ceph-users] CephFS kernel module lockups in Ubuntu linux-image-5.0.0-32-generic?"
Suggest you contact Canonical to get them to fix their kernel or downgrade your kernel.
