[ceph-users] Re: [ceph-announce] v21.2.0 Umbrella released

Question — will Ceph be released for other Architectures such as Arm? If not, thats rather a disappointment, and likely to mean I need to find an alternative.

There are aarch64 (arm64) packages for Ceph in the CentOS and Rocky Storage SIGs. Umbrella packages are available now in the CentOS Storage SIG; coming soon for Rocky. CentOS also has ppc64le packages. Both SIGs have Ceph Squid and Ceph Tentacle packages. To use them first install EPEL with `dnf install -y epel-release` Then on CentOS `dnf install -y centos-release-ceph-{squid,tentacle,umbrella}` Or on Rocky `dnf install -y rocky-release-storage-{squid,umbrella}` Then install the Ceph packages as you would normally, with `dnf install -y ceph ...` -- Kaleb
