Hi Valère, S3 Select is a specific feature that lets clients send SQL queries to RGW to filter data within an object. The proposal only affects that feature. We don’t use the AWS S3, we use Ceph RGW / our Ceph cluster as a S3 storage. I just upgraded our cluster to 19.2.6 and plan to upgrade to tentacles soon. In which version will it be disabled by default? Best regards, Valère Binet

Hi Team, PR #72337<https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/72337> proposes deprecating S3 Select in RGW and disabling it by default. Before we consider merging it, is anyone currently using this feature or aware of users who rely on it? If so, please share your use cases so we can understand the impact. Thanks!
