Hello,

As a reminder, the Sepia lab in the Community Cage currently hosted by Red Hat will be shutting down on December 15 at approximately 10am Eastern. The equipment will be picked up December 17 and trucked to an IBM datacenter in NY. I expect it to arrive probably that Friday but doubt anything will get unloaded until Monday morning. Re-racking and recabling will take probably a week or two. However, tying the networking equipment in to the existing environment will not occur until January.

That said, my team has been furiously doing our best to bring up services in the new location over the past week. We finally gained access to the lab and were able to establish a VPN tunnel Monday morning.

We currently have MaaS able to reimage the new testnodes. We are also simultaneously working on:

Mirroring the paddles database
Migrating public-facing and mission critical services to either AWS or the lab
Standing up an Openshift cluster
Ideally, getting teuthology runs going by the end of next week
Getting Jenkins jobs running on x86 and arm64
Amongst other nitty gritty details (e.g., ansible inventories, BMC configurations, etc.)

This is being done all while working through firewall changes, cabling and recabling issues, and switch port configuration changes that could not be discovered until we got access to the lab.

We hope to have more information available for devs to connect to the lab to migrate anything they may need to. We have some developer machines ready for use but we’re still working through some connectivity issues so I want to make sure the VPN is stable before adding additional tunnels.
