Dear Ceph Foundation Members,
We are very excited to share with you that the new Ceph Foundation
Membership Participation Agreement has been launched by the Linux
Foundation.
This agreement brings live our revised 2024 membership tiers and associated
benefits, which are described on our website:
https://ceph.io/en/foundation/member-benefits/
In line with this updated structure, the Linux Foundation is requiring all
members to *re-sign the member agreement*, indicating their preferred tier.
We kindly invite you to update your membership before *December 18, 2023*:
https://enrollment.lfx.linuxfoundation.org/?project=cephfoundation
If you have any questions regarding this process, please do not hesitate to
reach out at foundation(a)ceph.io.
Best Regards,

Dear Ceph Foundation Members,
Please review proposed new member benefits and tiers:
https://forms.gle/TQaHjCTC5FJdvU4PA
Recently the board has been discussing changes to the membership tier
structure. Since the foundation was founded in 2018, fees have been flat,
while expenses have increased. We have prepared a new 4-tier model for Ceph
Foundation membership.
This new model will re-secure the health of our Foundation. It will allow
us to maintain and invest in the Test and Release Infrastructure, the Ceph
Documentation, and events such as Cephalocon and Ceph Days.
The proposed model adds a new Platinum level above the existing General and
Premier membership tiers, and a Gold level between them. The new levels and
added member benefits are outlined in this document:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NCHzLyNuofkZ9O3GkKy1LHXm8trcl-SzvTeCzPp…
These have gone through one round of review with the board, and we have
adapted the tiers based on feedback from the board members. There are
several companies that have expressed interest in joining the new tiers and
find the new benefits attractive.
We warmly invite all foundation members to share their feedback and help
come to a consensus on this proposal. Please submit your input via the
Google Doc or to Neha/Josh/Dan directly.
Thank you all for being the backbone of the Ceph Foundation. We count on
your input to secure the future of our project!
Neha, Josh, and Dan
