el9 container builds
Hi Guillaume, We need to move the Squid release to use a CentOS Stream 9 image instead of 8. (CentOS Stream 8 is EOL in a few months.) We also want to move Ceph's Dockerfile (https://github.com/ceph/ceph-container/issues/2171) What is the next step to accomplish these goals?
I had been taking the tack of modifying ceph-container for c9 upstream (along with Casey's help). I've got it mostly done; I just didn't realize there was a separate job hierarchy for centos-arm64, so have to redo what I did for x86 there (carefully). I was thinking of trying to phase in 2171 after I got that done. I have not been thinking of downstream implications. On 2/12/2024 7:30 AM, Ken Dreyer wrote:

https://github.com/ceph/ceph-container/pull/2183 merged last week. are we ready to add the ceph-container build step to the centos9 jenkins builds on main/squid? once that's done, we should finally be ready to turn off their centos8 builds On Mon, Feb 12, 2024 at 4:54 PM Dan Mick <dmick@redhat.com> wrote:

hi Dan, can you please share a status update here? this is a blocker for the squid release and we're nearing the first release candidate already On Thu, Mar 14, 2024 at 1:02 PM Casey Bodley <cbodley@redhat.com> wrote:
