Given the size of the PR — 22 commits and 32 files changed — and that it depends on other PRs as well, which increases the effective size even further, I’m guessing there is no intention of backporting it. I cannot see how the effort would be justified given everything else the RGW team is working on.
Why not upgrade to octopus?
