https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/28706 is close to being merged in master. It should be merged by tomorrow.

https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/28003 needs some more work (testing, minor code revisions, rebase) before being merged in master.
It's a not a minor change.

I will work on backporting them once they're merged in master.
