After getting CentOS 8 working, I spent Friday adding the latest CentOS 9 Stream compose to the Sepia lab.
Same deal with 8. We have FOG images for smithi and gibba.
teuthology-lock --lock-many 1 -m smithi --os-type centos --os-version 9.stream
Some important differences:
- Missing Packages: podman-docker, ant, libev-devel, python3-nose, python3-virtualenv, dbench, iozone
- No lab-extras
- No EPEL9
Not sure how useful it'll be but have fun.

We plan to test and release octopus 15.2.12 in the next 2 weeks.
Please label PRs appropriately (add "<release>-batch1" and "needs-qa"
labels) so they can be tested and included in that release on time.
The repo will be locked for merging in ~1 week (planned for 5/22/21).
Thx
YuriW
Could you please provide the full rbd-nbd log? If it is too large for
the attachment then may be via some public url?

If it has been a long time since your trying to ace your assignments but nothing is working out, let us tell you there is always an option of availing online assignment help. Just make sure that while you are trying to reach helpers you don’t stumble upon fraudsters. Before choosing any assignment help provider do check their previous work samples. This will let you know the way they work. Along with this, never undermine the importance of user feedback while judging a website. Go through the student reviews carefully and see whether maximum users have criticized their service or loved it. Then make a decision that you deem fit.

Hello,
Highlights from this week:
- release process improvements and coordination
- currently ad-hoc email threads and #ceph-backports IRC channel
- works well for David, but we did have a couple of instances of
false "good to go" where some fixes intended for release were
not in yet
- want to give a heads up that the release is happening sooner
- Yuri will email dev(a)ceph.io a week before locking the branch and
starting validation
- the team will keep track of upcoming releases in the CLT pad [1]
- urgent release-related queries or concerns should go to clt(a)ceph.io
- issues with generating release emails and blog posts
- cephadm backports are done in batches, individual PRs are not
listed
- generated html requires manual edits
- should be resolved with moving off WordPress
- being able to release from a hotfix branch to avoid branch juggling
- remains on David's list, Loic is interested too
- upcoming releases
- 16.2.4, 15.2.12 and 14.2.21 hotfix releases (rgw and dashboard)
- also https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/50347 for 16.2.4?
- 15.2.13 release to be frozen in two weeks
- final 14.2.z release in June, nautilus is almost EOL!
- scrub of Ceph project on the tracker
- almost complete, what is left are mostly doc tickets and
build/packaging related issues for various distros
- also issues that turn up in testing where component is not clear
- need to triage these during regular bug scrubs
- Ceph Month June event
- include 20-30 minutes updates from component leads
- CFP closes today, schedule to be posted on May 19th
- new ceph.com site
- static markdown (yay!)
- need octopus-themed artwork, don't want generic stock imagery

Thanks,

Hi everyone,
You may have noticed some unusual activity in the backport PRs in the
past week, namely force pushes to the base branch and temporary changes
of the same, resulting in humongous changesets/diffstats being shown.
This was done to work around some deficiencies in the release process,
apologies for the inconvenience.
Now that 14.2.20, 15.2.11 and 16.2.1 are out the door, everything has
been restored. Jenkins is currently backed up processing "make check"
and "ceph API tests" jobs, but it should clear up by tomorrow. Please
retrigger with "jenkins test make check", "jenkins test api", etc if
needed.
Some of you have clicked the unhelpful "Update branch" button, which
generated an unneeded merge commit. Please get rid of it, either by
rebasing or simply rolling back to the parent. I went through the PRs
and commented on those that need action, but please double check that
there are no merge commits or unrelated changes in the "Commits" list
before merging.
Thanks,
Ilya
Hey all,
A couple months ago Jason Dillaman, our long-time RBD tech lead, moved
on from his job at Red Hat working on Ceph to a new opportunity. This
left a hole in the team we needed to fill on short notice, and because
I was asked to backfill Jason in Red Hat's internal affairs I also
took on some of his upstream tech lead duties on a fill-in basis — I
don't think this was ever discussed on the lists but it came up in CDM
and some meetings.
However, we've had more time since then to converse among the relevant
people and I am happy to announce that Ilya Dryomov has agreed to take
over the PTL role for RBD. Many of you know Ilya for his work
throughout Ceph's kernel clients (including especially the RBD module)
and sometime wrangling of security issues in our messaging layers, and
I look forward to him expanding his leadership role in the project.
Thanks!
-Greg
