Hi,
See this issue: https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/47951
PR for Nautilus: https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/37816
This breaks a lot of Nautilus deployments I know of and might cause many
other users problems if they upgrade to .12
I would say this fix is big enough to quickly release .13.
What do others say?
Wido
This will be Wednesday, Nov 4th, at 2100 EDT (0200 UTC Nov 5th) at:

Please add topics here:
https://tracker.ceph.com/projects/ceph/wiki/CDM_04-NOV-2020
so far we're planning to talk more about mgr scalability - particularly
profiling/measuring where bottlenecks are, how we could make its
behavior better based on that, and what improvements we can make
in the short/long term.
See you there!

Hi all,
Does anyone know that why Ceph needs to calcualate the crc of "null"
buffer?
There's below code in Ceph:
ceph_crc32c(rand(), nullptr, size);
https://github.com/ceph/ceph/blob/master/src/test/common/test_crc32c.cc#L358
For the "null" buffer case, doesn't Ceph think to be all zero value
to calculate the crc value?

Dear community,
Whenever I try to run "make-dist" (or the scripts calling it), it get stuck
in the same place:
> @angular/cli@10.1.6 postinstall
/root/projects/ceph/src/pybind/mgr/dashboard/frontend/node_modules/@angular/cli
> node ./bin/postinstall/script.js
any idea?

Hi list,
I've got a PR for syncing roles in a multisite env with
https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/37679 which implements the metadata
handler for roles and the related svc definitions. While from the admin
cli/apis things seem to work as expected, I'd like to know whether these
are tested via s3tests.
I see that there are sts tests added lately, however running them on
master/octopus also fails for me. What setup should be done to run these
on a local vstart? I've tried adding user-policy and roles caps, not
sure whether anything more needs to be done.
Also it does seem like a failed run seems to upload a user-policy that'd
further fail the future runs of s3 tests as this policy is being
compared for list api which will fail from this point on.
