Thanks Emily. I may not be able to make the call today, so wanted to share my thoughts on it. My personal preference (and the style
I see most as a conference swag item as it’s easier for attendees to put on and remove over existing clothes) is for a zip fronted hoodie, but I know these are $11+ more per item, so this is going to break the bank (unless the wiggle room is substantial!).
We chose a hoodie as the swag item due to the temperature in Seoul this time of year, so a thicker one would be the best option if
we can make budgets work. If we can’t afford anything thicker than a t-shirt, we may as well go for a nice t-shirt to avoid providing a low quality item that will leave attendees feeling dissatisfied with the swag. I remember only too well the moans of attendees
from the last few OpenStack/Open Infrastructure Summits I attended when they were given a beanie or a pair of socks as conference swag on a $1,000 ticket.
