Hi Jennifer,
The agenda at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zSK6g7eadJ6cjT7dNLnO6yRseMLuKWNcMiP…
has the talks placed on the schedule. (I butchered the titles for
brevity, but the number is the submission ID.) I added an extra slot on
Thursday to take up the 2 stragglers that don't fit; one of these may
become the keynote, and/or we may have talks drop out. Or just add in a
waitlist and keep that final slot... we'll see?
The CDS schedule for Tuesday is here:
https://pad.ceph.com/p/cephalocon-2020-dev-summit
Thanks!

Hi Igor, Tushar,
Thanks for submitting your talk proposal on *Store and persistent memory!
The program committee decided that this topic would benefit from an
interactive discussion, so instead of accepting this as a conference talk,
we're setting aside a time slot during the developer summit on Tuesday.
You can see the (tentative, WIP) schedule here:
https://pad.ceph.com/p/cephalocon-2020-dev-summit
You'll get a notification from LF for your original talk submission,
presumably saying it's declined, which you can ignore.
Thanks!

Hi all,
thanks for the great progress so far! Finally we've got a program! WOHO!

At which point do we expect to have the booking codes for the hotel
reservations ready?

Hi Arun, Yi,
Thanks for submitting your talk proposal 'Decoupling Ceph architecture for
agility'. The program committee decided that this topic would benefit
from an interactive discussion, so instead of accepting this as a
conference talk, we're setting aside a time slot during the developer
summit on Tuesday. You can see the (tentative, WIP) schedule here:

Hi Zoltan,
Thanks for submitting your talk proposal 'Disaggregating Ceph using
NVMeoF'. The program committee decided that this topic would benefit from
an interactive discussion, so instead of accepting this as a conference
talk, we're setting aside a time slot during the developer summit on
Tuesday. There was one other talk proposal around NVMeoF that we're
treating the same way. You can see the (tentative, WIP) schedule here:
https://pad.ceph.com/p/cephalocon-2020-dev-summit
We're also allocating a lightning talk slot for you. You've either
already gotten a notification for that or should get one soon.
Thanks!

Hi Kyr,
Thanks for submitting your talk proposal on 'Teuthology state of the art
and future development'. The program committee decided that this topic
would benefit from an interactive discussion, so instead of accepting this
as a conference talk, we're setting aside a time slot during the developer
summit on Tuesday. You can see the (tentative, WIP) schedule here:
https://pad.ceph.com/p/cephalocon-2020-dev-summit
You'll get a notification from LF for your original talk submission,
presumably saying it's declined, which you can ignore.
Thanks!

Hi,
We've made our decisions! The spreadsheet 'Final decision' column has
been updated with
ACCEPT
ACCEPT AS LIGHTNING
ACCEPT, COMBINE (I've emailed these people directly)
WAITLIST
REJECT
CDS (I will email these people. No talk slot, but we'll set up sessions
on Tuesday to discuss their topics.)
We're working out the keynotes and such, but the data in the spreadsheet
should be sufficient to send out the notifications.
As for getting the schedule published, I'm guessing that all we
really need to do is place these talks into the agenda
spreadsheet, and then that can get translated to sched.org? How long does
that take? We'd like to get the (tentative) schedule up as quickly as
possible to drive registrations.
Thanks!
sage

Hi Sherard, Guillaume, Yuval,
There were two AI/ML-ish talks submitted: one from Guillaume and Yuval
("Automating data pipelines with Ceph, KNative, and Strimzi") and one from
Sherard ("Building a storage platform with ceph object storage for an
AI/ML private cloud deployment"). We accepted the first and rejected the
second (due to space and then semi-arbitrarily due to the knative/strimzi
spin), but it would be great if you could discuss and/or collaborate a bit
if there is valuable content that Sherard would have presented that could
be included. We're also happen to add Sherard as a co-speaker if you'd
like to fully combine the talks (e.g., if that helps Sherard get funding
to make the trip!).
I'm sorry we could take both separately, but I'm hoping these can be put
together for something even better?
Thanks!
sage
