Hi all,
I'm wondering if there is a plan to add Nautilus builds for CentOS 8 [0]. Right now I
see there are builds for CentOS 7, but for CentOS 8 there are only builds for Octopus and
master.

Thanks Anthony. Yes, it's intended to be used in a CI job in which we are
already relying on shaman builds. I'm curious if there is a reason we are
not building Nautilus (and below) on CentOS 8.

like it to because the upstream Storage SIG is pretty small but it used

Some parts of OpenStack upstream CI consume the download.ceph.com
binaries for nautilus on CentOS 7, and the developers are asking if we
can provide nautilus builds for CentOS 8 as well.
What are the steps to do that for future Nautilus releases?

will try to backport the changes to nautilus to address this FTBFS on el8.
back in el7 we need python36-*, but in el8 python3 is now first class
citizen, so we can use python3-* packages. there are a bunch of PRs to
address this. but they are not backported to nautilus yet.

Our install-deps.sh script is looking for "python36-Cython" vs
"python3-Cython" so I guess that needs to be fixed in the nautilus
version of install-deps.sh
